Mrs. Bryn West Is the Foreign Service Officer at the U.S Embassy in Belize. She is an Economic-coned officer and is on her second Foreign Service assignment as a Political/Economic Officer in Belmopan. She has an MA in International Relations from the University of Queensland, Australia and a BA in International Relations and Economics from Richmond University, London, England. She has a husband, Ben, and a daughter, Mae and loves swing dancing and long walks.
Dr. Osmond Martinez, Assistant Professor of Economics, Galen University
Dr. Osmond Martinez is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship at Galen University. He earned his doctorate degree in Economics with focus in Poverty and Social Development from the Universidad De Baja California, Mexico, and has over 16 years of experience in business and academics. His passion and innovativeness motivated him to start the first plastic recycling business in Belize exporting products to Taiwan and Mexico.
Mr. Jaime Williams, Branch Manager (Belize City), Development Finance Corporation
Mr Jaime Williams is the Belize City Branch Manager for the Development Finance Corporation. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Belize and a Baccalaureate (bakəˈlôrēət) Degree in Farm Management from the Instituto Universitario Experimental de Tecnología y Agricultura Simon Bolivar in Venezuela. He has 17 years of experience in development banking. He is also a small entrepreneur and owner of Spring Water located in Lords Bank and Belize City which he has successfully managed for the past 10 years.
Ms. Sonia Ceballos, Chief Technology Officer, Belize Telemedia Limited
Ms. Sonia Ceballos is the Chief Technology Officer at Digi. She is a transformational leader who began her career in Colombia after qualifying as an electronics and telecommunications engineer. She was recruited to Europe, where she ultimately became the Head of Strategy & Programs at BASE Company in Belgium. Her passion for transformation has led her to work with an innovation hub in Colombia, helping with the creation of opportunities in that country. She is currently mentoring five Belizeans in leadership and personal development.

Mr. Andy Sutherland is the Director of the Directorate General for Foreign Trade for the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Commerce. He holds a MA in Globalization and International Development from the University of East Anglia in Norwich (norridge), United Kingdom. Over the past ten years he participated in numerous Trade related trainings under the auspices of the World Trade Organization and other Multilateral Agencies. Mr. Sutherland and the Directorate General for Foreign Trade are keen on bring to fruition a National Trade Policy for Belize and forging closer trade relations with our Central American neighbours and Mexico.
Ms. Olabimpe Akinkole, Deputy Registrar, BELIPO
Ms. Olabimpe Akinkole (Akinkule) is the Deputy Registrar at the Belize Intellectual Property Office (BELIPO). She obtained a Bachelor Degree in English Literature from University of Belize, a Bachelor Degree of Law from the University of the West Indies, obtained her legal certificate education at Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica, and was admitted as an Attorney-at-law in Belize 2015. She has been instrumental in lobbying for changes in strengthening the copyright landscape in Belize with the recent five copyright accessions administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization. Mrs Janine Montenegro is the Managing Director at the Belize Virtual Center. She has over a decade of experience in Customer Service, Public Relations, International Business, Operations and Quality Assurance. She also assisted in developing the company from a 4 person operation in 2016 to a grown team of 35 individuals. She is also the founder of Lesmont Management Services which provides property management services in Belize.

Ms. Umeeda Switlo is Co Founder of Naledo Foods and Beverage Inc. She came to Belize in 2014 as a CUSO volunteer to advise the Department of Youth Services (DYS) on enterprise and youth. After seeing an opportunity to export yellow ginger paste she formed Naledo. This social enterprise has bottom lines of training and employing youth, paying farmers fair market value for their yellow ginger, producing a healthy product, ensuring environmental sustainability and making a profit.
